Verified decarbonisation through EMSteel
As a partner of EMSteel, Maxx Piling supplies sheet piles produced using a gas-based Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) route with Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology powered by renewable energy, and supported by industrial-scale Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).
This process is independently verified through Environmental Product Declaration EPD-IES-0016139, audited by SGS Italia SpA under EN 15804 +A2:2019 and ISO 14025:2006.
Declared GWP (A1–A3): 704 kg CO₂e/t
Effective GWP (with CCUS): ≈ 350 kg CO₂e/t
Carbon capture capacity: 800 000 t CO₂ per year
This DRI + EAF + CCUS model achieves both low emissions and reliable quality, independent of scrap volatility.
