From how we source steel to how we operate our offices, every decision is made with efficiency, responsibility and long-term impact in mind. Our goal is to supply high-performance piling solutions while reducing our environmental footprint at every level of the business.

Our Ethos
Sustainability is part of who we are. We work with responsible steel producers that prioritise low-carbon manufacturing, recycling, and energy efficiency, helping our clients reduce embodied carbon across their projects. At the same time, we make sure our own operations reflect the same values, practical, measurable steps that lead to real change.
Responsible Supply Chain
Beyond the office, Maxx Piling partners with mills that lead in low-carbon and circular steelmaking. Where possible, we supply reused and repurposed sheet piles, extending their lifespan and cutting embodied carbon compared with new production. Our logistics partners also share our environmental goals, supporting efficient route planning, grouped deliveries, and lower-emission transport options across the UK.

Office powered entirely by renewable energy through Valda Energy.

📄 Paper & Printing Reduction

FSC-certified paper used only when necessary.

All printing set to double-sided as standard.

90% reduction in printing achieved through paperless digital systems.

Ink cartridges recycled and responsibly disposed of.

Dedicated recycling bins for glass, paper, and mixed waste.

Reusable cutlery, cups, and plates used exclusively, eliminating single-use plastics.

Verified decarbonisation through EMSteel

As a partner of EMSteel, Maxx Piling supplies sheet piles produced using a gas-based Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) route with Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology powered by renewable energy, and supported by industrial-scale Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).

This process is independently verified through Environmental Product Declaration EPD-IES-0016139, audited by SGS Italia SpA under EN 15804 +A2:2019 and ISO 14025:2006.

Declared GWP (A1–A3): 704 kg CO₂e/t

Effective GWP (with CCUS): ≈ 350 kg CO₂e/t

Carbon capture capacity: 800 000 t CO₂ per year

This DRI + EAF + CCUS model achieves both low emissions and reliable quality, independent of scrap volatility.
