Maxx Piling

Surface Treatment

Professional steel preparation and coating for lasting protection

Maxx Piling provides a full surface treatment service for sheet piles, tubular piles, and fabricated steel components. We offer abrasive blasting to SA 2.5 and high-performance paint coatings applied by trusted partners in Poland, Germany, and the UK, ensuring consistent quality and fast turnaround for every project.

Surface Preparation – SA 2.5 Standard

All steel can be prepared to SA 2.5 (near-white metal blast cleaning) in accordance with ISO 8501-1.
This process removes mill scale, rust, and surface contaminants to create the ideal profile for paint adhesion and long-term corrosion resistance, a crucial step for marine, civil, and foundation applications.

Protective Coatings

After blasting, steel can be finished with a range of industrial-grade coatings suited to specific site and environmental conditions.

Our most commonly applied systems include:

  • Interzone 954 – a high-build, two-component epoxy designed for aggressive marine environments, offering excellent abrasion and chemical resistance.
  • Acraton HS-U – a durable polyurethane coating providing UV resistance and long-term colour stability, ideal for exposed structures and tidal zones.

Other specialist coatings and systems can be supplied on request, including multi-coat systems for extended protection.

Quality and Consistency

Coating works are carried out by certified paint shops within our trusted European network.
All facilities operate under strict quality control procedures, including dry film thickness testing and full inspection reporting. By maintaining coating operations in Poland, Germany, and multiple UK locations, we can offer short lead times, flexible scheduling, and efficient transport coordination alongside material supply.
